Police recovered decomposed hanging body of a female university student from a flat of a building in the capital’s Mohammadpur on Friday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sahara Parvin Sumi, 21, hailed from Rangpur and a second year student of ASA University.
Confirming the news Jane Alam, Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Police Station, said Sumi lived in the rented room. Being informed, police found the room locked with padlock from the outside. She might have been hanged after killing.
