Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a female drug peddler along with one kilogram heroin from the city’s railway station on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Merina Khatun,50, wife of Abdur Razzak, a resident of Bablabana village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
A Rab press release said tipped off, an operation team of Rajshahi Railway Colony Camp Rab-5 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Merina in the morning.
The elite force also recovered one kilogram of heroin from her possession.
The arrestee had long been involved in drug trading, the release added.
