UNB, Chittagong :
A female garment worker allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Shahidpara Kabir Mistry Colony in Chandgaon area of the port city early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shahina Akter, 24, wife of Azad, hailing from East Gatidanga in Satkania upazila and a worker of a garment factory in BSCIC industrial area.
Police said the deceased’s family found her hanged from her room’s ceiling around 12:30AM and informed police.
On information police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), said Naik Jahangir Alam of CMCH police outpost.
