A Barisal court sentenced accused Nipa Aktar to life-term imprisonment for drug peddling on Monday .
The court also fined absconding sentenced accused Tk.10 thousand or to serve more months imprisonment.
Rafikul Islam, judge of the tribunal for prevention of crimes against public safety, declared this verdict after examining 10 witnesses and other evidences.
The case history in brief was police raided house of Nipa Aktar at Daptarkhana area of the city on November 14, 2013 and recovered 30 bottles Phensidyl from there.
Sub Inspector Enamul Huq lodged a case against Nipa Aktar in this connection on the same night with Barisal Kotwali police station.
Sub Inspector Golam Kabir, investigation officer of the case, submitted charge sheet against the accused on December 29, 2013, court sources said
