Federation Cup (Ranking) Table Tennis Tournament begins today

The Aarong Dairy Federation Cup (Ranking) Table Tennis Tournament begins today at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in Paltan Maidan.
Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation has arranged the table tennis competition while Aarong Dairy is the sponsor of the meet.
Regarding this ensuing competition, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Sunday.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) Sheikh Md Jahangir Alam, General Secretary of BTTF Khondker Hasan Munir, Chairman of the Tournament Committee Anwar Kabir Chowdhury Babu and Co-Chairman of the Tournament Committee Aminul Haque were present at the conference.
150 players from eight men’s teams and seven women’s teams will take part in the table tennis tournament.
The events of the competition are: Men’s singles, men’s teams event, women’s singles, women’s teams event. The teams of the men’s division are: Palolick Group, Arunima, Bagerhat district team, Chittagong district team, ANH Company, Stride, Narail district team, Bangladesh Army.
The team’s of the women’s division are: Abahani Limited, Stride, Bangladesh Army, Dhaka district team, Patuakhali district team Bagerhat district team and Stride Red.
AGM of Marketing BRAC Enterprise Suraiya Siddiqua will formally open the competition today as the chief guest while President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation and former principal secretary of Prime Minister Md Abdul Karim will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
The four-day long table tennis competition will come to an end on December 10.
