The Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA), a platform of teachers’ association of country’s public universities, got its 21-member new executive committee. President of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and its General Secretary Prof Nizamul Hoque Bhuyan were elected as the President and Secretary General of FBUTA respectively for the session 2020-21.
The election was held on February 8 at the FBUTA general meeting held at DU Teachers Club where elected representatives of all the public universities were present, said a press release on Sunday. Prof Abu Jafor Miah, Prof Mehedi Hasan and Prof Dr Abusaleh Mahfuzul Bari were the election commissioners.
