FBCCI to sign MoU and will extend effort to attract in S’pore investment

As entourage of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a high powered business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left Dhaka for Singapore on Sunday morning. FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) is leading the 47 member business delegation, said a press release.
The FBCCI Business Delegation, during the visit, will attend ‘Bangladesh-Singapore Business Forum-2018’. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will grace the program as the Guest of Honor while Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore will be present. FBCCI President Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) will make a presentation on ‘Priority Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh’. Several panel discussions on ‘Opportunities in ICT and Business Outsourcing Services in Bangladesh’, ‘Business Opportunities in Infrastructure and related Sectors in Bangladesh’ and ‘Opportunities in Manufacturing and Vocational Skills development in Bangladesh’ will be held at the forum. FBCCI Senior Vice-President Sheikh Fazle Fahim will moderate the panel discussion.
FBCCI, at the forum will sign a ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)’ with Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF). The memorandum will be signed to strengthen business relations and promote economic cooperation between the enterprises of the two Countries. According to the memorandum both parties will promote exchange of business information, and will render assistance to each other in trade, investment and business events. Both the parties will also arrange business conferences and exhibitions in respective countries.
