The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has invited the BCIM countries to invest in oil refinery, pharmaceuticals, tourism and agro-based industries at the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Bangladesh, according to a press release.
FBCCI Senior Vice-President Fazle Fahim made the call while attending the “13th China-South Asia Business Forum” held recently in Kunming, China, said a press release on Friday.
The forum was jointly organised by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and People’s Government of Yunnan Province. The theme of the forum was ‘Interconnection, Sharing and Win-win Cooperation’.
During the Forum, Fahim urged the BCIM member countries to import RMGs, pharmaceuticals, jute goods, leather goods, furniture, plastics and ceramics products from Bangladesh.
