Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Md Jashim Uddin on Sunday urged the government to take proper initiatives to modernise marine fishing.
“Maximum fishes of our sea are caught by other countries’ fishermen. So, we should lay emphasis on the matter and modernise our marine fishing system,” Jashim was addressing at the workshop on “Prospects on Blue Economy of Bangladesh and Course of Action” at the FBCCI auditorium in the capital.
The FBCCI, the apex trade body of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) jointly organised the workshop.
