FBCCI emphasized on joint venture in RMG, leather, IT, agro based industries other potential sectors with Turkey. Moreover, FBCCI put emphasis on factory and technology transfer from Turkey. FBCCI leaders discussed the matters on Wednesday at a meeting with a delegation of Turkey-Bangladesh Business Council (TBBC) held at FBCCI office. Laura Gok, Chairperson of Turkey-Bangladesh Business Council led the Turkey delegation. FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) and Senior Vice-President Sheikh Fazle Fahim took part in the discussion. Murat Yarat, Commercial Councilor of Turkish Embassy and Tulin Avci, Assistant Coordinator of the Council were also included in the Turkish delegation. FBCCI Directors Rejaul Kariem Rejnu, Md. Abu Naser, Masud Parvez Khan Imran and Nizamuddin Rajesh also participated in the discussion.
 FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) expressed his interest to establish joint venture in RMG, leather, IT, and agro based industries with Turkey. The FBCCI Chief mentioned that, Bangladesh achieved consistent GDP growth of over 6 percent during the last couple of years and above 7 percent GDP growth in the past two years. Bangladesh is close to transforming into a middle income country by, 2021, Mohiuddin mentioned. FBCCI Chief told about the lucrative investment facilities provided by Bangladesh Government including Tax Holiday, Double Taxation, Corporate Tax Incentive etc. and invited the Turkey Businessmen to invest or set up joint ventures in Economic Zones or outside the EZ’s.
Laura Gok, Chairperson of Turkey-Bangladesh Business Council expressed her deep interest to import more products from Bangladesh. She also laid emphasis on working the both parties more closely to further boost up the bilateral trade.
