The nominated candidate from ruling Awami League for Chattogram-6 Constituency (Raozan) and incumbent lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury submitted nomination paper to Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Asstt. Returning POfficer , Raozan Upazila at latter’soffice chamber yesterday morning.
The nominated candidate for 11th National Parliament election handed over Nomination Paper to Md. Shamim Hossain Reza, UNO at latter’s office chamber at about 11.55 am.
During submission of nomination paper , among others Upazila Chairman Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul, District Council Panel chairman Kazi Abdul Wahab, Panel Mayor of Raozan Zamiruddin Parvez, Upazila AL President Kamaluddin Ahmed, son of the lawmaker Faraz Karim Chowdhury were present.
Before reaching Raozan , thousand hundreds of people irrespective of caste and creed assembled in front of Upazila office, Raozan College Square and party office premises to greet the unparallel leader of Raozan .
Mentionaable that ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury was elected as Member Parliament from Raozan constituency for three consecutive terms i.e 2001, 2008 & 2014 election.
During his tenure as lawmaker , Raozan turned into a model Upazila of the country and pink city.
ABM Fazle Karim is presently discharging the responsibilites of senior vice President of North district AL, Chattogram and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway.
Mentionablethat ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury is one of the heavyweight candidates for national parliament in Chattogram.
