Md. Fayzur Rahman Chowdhury, a retired senior government official, passed away at his Uttara residence on Tuesday night.
He left behind wife, one son and two daughters.
Retired as Additional Home Secretary Fayzur Rahman served in various important positions at home and foreign missions.
After Namaz-e-janaja at Banani Mosque he was buried at Banani Army graveyard after Asr prayer on Wednesday.
After retirement he used to write special columns in Daily Inqilab and Daily Nayadiganta.
Fayzur Rahman was born in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj district in Agust4, 1936.
He passed BA (hons) and MA in 1957 and 1958 respectively from Dhaka University.
He was active in sports and cultural activities since his student life.
