Central Awami League (AL) Office Secretary and party’s nominated candidate of Madaripur-3 Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap said good elections atmosphere is prevailing across the country while he ruling out BNP’s allegation on unfavorable atmosphere prevailing ahead of the 11th parliament elections.
“The good election atmosphere is prevailing across the country … The candidates are being filed nomination papers with festive mood all over the country,” he said.
The ruling party leader said this while responding to the queries made by the journalists following paying homage at the grave of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara here on Tuesday.
Replying to an allegation made by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) that ‘the country has no election atmosphere’, he said nobody was forced to resist in filing the nomination papers and the BNP is spreading this falsehood from the very beginning.
“The country people will vote to the symbol of ‘Boat’ in order to maintain the development trend of the country,” Golap said, adding that the grand alliance will again form the government after winning in the next general polls.
