A man and his son went missing as their boat capsized while fishing in the Padma River in Shibganj upazila on Tuesday morning.
The victims are Sahabuddin, 52, and his son Abdullah, 19, of Dakkhinpaka village in the upazila.
Chairman of Paka union parishad Mojibur Rahman said the duo was fishing in the river at Terorashia. Suddenly, their boat sank in the river around 9am due to strong currents.
Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Saber Ali said a team of divers from Rajshahi launched a drive to rescue the mission people.
