A man and his son were killed after a wall of Saint Placid’s High School in Kotwali Thana of the port city had collapsed on Wednesday morning (October 5).
The deceased were identified as Masudul Haq, 40 and his son Tawsif Mahid, 13.
Quoting the locals, Chittagong Medical College Hospital police box assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Pankaj Kumar Barua told this correspondent that an old wall of the school ground collapsed around 1:40 pm due to soil liquefaction left some pedestrian injured critically.
Locals rushed them to the hospital where attended physician declared father and his son dead on arrival, the ASI added.
