A man and his son were detained with 2,850 pieces of yaba pills worth about Tk 8,55,000 from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday.
Airport sources said Armed Police Battalion arrested Md Yunus, 45, and his 15-year-old son from
near the road of domestic terminal of the airport around 4:30pm.
During interrogation, they confessed that they were carrying yaba in their rectum.
Afterwards, 1,850 pieces of yaba were recovered from the rectum of Md Yunus and another 1,000 pieces from the rectum of his son. They said they were paid Tk 30,000 by one Md Jabed, 45, of Noyapara (Sabrang) in Teknaf. They came to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar by a flight of Novoair.
