The father, who sustained screw diver injury on his abdomen by his son, had died at Queens Private Hospital in Jessore on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Bisharat Ali, 52, son of late Afzal Ali of Bedbaria village under bordering Moheshpur upazila in Jhenidah.
Moheshpur police officer in charge (OC) M Shahjahan Ali said, Bisharat was locked in an altercation with his son Ahsanur Rahman in the afternoon of Tuesday following payment of electricity bills. At one stage Ahsanur pushed a screw diver in to the abdomen of his father, which was lying with him.
