Noted news presenter Farzana Karim’s self-written solo recitation evening titled Dure Kothao is scheduled to be held today, on the Christmas Day, at 7:00pm at Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mohila Samity in the capital’s Bailey Road area. Farzana Karim is not only a news presenter but also writer, recitation artiste and actress. She is now working at Ekattor TV. Before that she worked with Channel i for many years as news presenter.
Born on July 13, Farzana was brought up in Chattogram. She completed masters in English Literature and Film and Media. She has published 12 books.
Besides writing, she achieved fames to recite own written poems in and outside the country. She got many awards including in 2017 from Kolkata, Farzana got ‘Mahasweta Devi Memorial Literary Award.’
