Popular TV actress Farzana Chhoby is going to tie the nuptial knot with Tonmoy Sarkar, Associate Professor of Dhaka Commerce College. The wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held at Falcon Hall of Bangladesh Air Force on May 9. Aqdh of Chhoby and Tonmoy was held on April 17 with the presence of both’s family members. Gaye Halud of Farzana Chhoby will be held at Setara Convention Hall in the city’s Mirpur area on May 5, she said. Basically Farzana Chhoby and Tonmoy Sarkar were known to each other when they were studying at Dhaka Commerce College. Later they had developed a good friendship. Family members of both Chhoby and Tonmoy settled the matter into formal marriage. While asking Chhoby about her feelings to start a new life she told this correspondent, “I had friendship with Tonmoy for many years. Only the willingness of our family members I am going to tie the knot with him. May Allah bless us as we can happily pass our times in the long run. I will always want that Tonmoy will not only recognise me as his wife but also an actress. I am respectful to his works. Everybody pray for us.” On the other hand, yesterday Chhoby was engaged taking part in shooting of a cooking related show titled Pak-er Ghor on My TV. She is hosting the show regularly. In fact, Chhoby is now passing busy days with her pre-wedding preparations. But she is really missing her father right now. “If he (father) would alive he will be the happiest person in my life to know about my wedding,” Chhoby said while sharing her feelings.
