Uddipon is a subject-oriented programme of NTV. In each episode of this programme, a different play is presented for the viewers. In this play, many unprecedented incidents, which are taking place in our society, are shown in each episode. Shodh is that type of an episode of Uddipon.
In this episode, it will be shown that after losing her husband popular TV actress Farzana Chhoby has been living in a flat alone. But surroundings create problem in her life. Different males started to disturb her because she was living along in a flat. Basically Shodh has been made to give a message to all about the loss of moral values of the society people.
Directed by Ashim Gomez story of Shodh was written by Habib Jakaria Ullash. While sharing her feelings to perform in this play actress Farzana Chhoby told this correspondent, “As a performer, I and everybody want to perform in that type of story based play which has its aesthetics value. But most of the time it doesn’t happen properly. As a director, Ashim Gomez always tries to work confidently. So he can get appreciation in this regard. I am very much satisfied to work under his direction in ‘Shodh.’ Its story is really nice. I believe viewers will also enjoy to watch the play.”
It may be mentioned that Uddipon is being telecasted on NTV every Friday at 9:40pm. Farzana Chhoby’s acted episode will be telecasted in April, she said. Besides Farzana Chhoby, Mukul Siraj, Tondra, Ahmed Faruk, Joyraz and Sumi also performed in different roles in the play.
Meanwhile, Farzana Chhoby became mother of a son in last September. After giving birth of her son Avirup, Chhoby acted in a special play titled Phirey Dekha, which was telecasted on the occasion of last International Mother Language Day under the story written by Selima Hossain.
Recently Chhoby’s acting in role of Kushum in Razu Khan’s directed a telefilm titled Bini Sutar Mala, which was telecasted on Channel i, was highly appreciated by the viewers. It was also one of her favourite works in career, Chhoby mentioned.
However, Farzana Chhoby’s acted drama serials – Dibanishi, directed by Aronno Anwar; Kadamatir Manushera, directed by Ashim Gomez; Mon Putul-er Bioscope, directed by Hasan Shikdar; and Progga Paromita, directed by Matia Banu Shuku and Juboraz Khan, are being telecstaed on ATN Bangla, Banglavision, Maasranga TV and ATN Bangla respectively now.
