Farooque’s health condition deteriorates again

Noted film actor and Member of the Parliament Farooque had been receiving treatment in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital since March. According to family sources, his condition has deteriorated yet again, and he is now in the ICU of the hospital. He has now been in the hospital for 82 days straight, with only 12 of those days being spent in the cabin.
Last October, Farooque was diagnosed with tuberculosis, commonly known as TB, at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He returned to Dhaka after his treatment. However, he was asked by his doctors to keep up with his monthly follow-ups. Farooque has been a part of more than 150 films in his illustrious career.
His journey in films began with Jolchhobi in 1971. Khan Ataur Rahman’s Abar Tora Manush Ho (1973) took him to superstardom. Later, he was featured in iconic movies like Lathial (1975), Sujon Sokhi (1975), Amzad Hossain’s Golapi Ekhon Train-e (1978), Abdullah Al Mamun’s Sareng Bou (1978), and Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Mia Bhai (1987), among others.
