Agriculture Minister Dr. Abdur Razzak said the present government has reduced the interest on agricultural loans to farmers. For all crops including litchi, farmers will be given loan at 2 to 4 percent interest rate. The Prime Minister is very kind to the farmers. He loves farmers. That is why he is making every effort for the development of agriculture and farmers. He said this at a farmers’ rally at the litchi fair in Ishwardi at 4.30 pm on Thursday.
At the same time, he added, Ishwardi is a prosperous region. We want to develop Ishwardi as an agricultural processing area. That’s why I came and saw it myself. Arrangements will be made in the coming days to process the products produced by Ishwardi and export them to Bangladesh market and abroad. Earlier, the Agriculture Minister inaugurated the litchi fair at Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute in Ishwardi at 4 pm.
