Naogaon Correspondent :
Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder MP on Friday said that in the coming days, all farmers will be brought under the app to stop irregularities.
He said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of paddy and rice harvesting in the Aman season under the ‘Farmer’s App’ at the Food Administration Warehouse at Naogaon Sadar Upazila on Friday morning.
He said, , the app has already been brought under pilot scheme in 16 upazilas of the country. As the Bankees have listed in the Agriculture Ministry, there is a food procurement committee in the districts and upazilas.
We are thinking of collecting paddy through digital app, rather than lottery across the country. The next Boro season will be further increased and paddy will be collected through hundreds of apps for the coming Amon season.
Paddy purchase has started from November 1 but those were through the app and called the first year a little late due to the registration of the app. Rice collection will be completed at the right time next year.
Deputy Commissioner Harun Aur Rashid presided over the function while Acting Superintendent of Police Rashidul Haque, District Food Controller Faruk Hossain Patwari, Sadar Upazila Food Officer Atiqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman and District Rakkal Malik Group President Alhaj Al Islam Hafiz Al Rafikul were present.
Later, the chief guest distributed money to purchase paddy through the farmer’s app.
