Naogaon correspondent :
The farmers of Naogaon Billancha have already started preparing Boro paddy before the start of the Aman paddy harvesting season.
They have taken up the work of making the seed floor from half-time of Kartik month. The farmers of the Bilanchal have now almost finished planting their boro paddy seeds. They will start planting the burrow crop on that land from the beginning of the season.
It is to be noted that the lion share of the Atrai-Raninagar and Manda Upazilas of Naogaon is low due to the lack of aman crop in those lands. Aman crop does not cling to their foreheads because the lands are submerged in flood water during the monsoon.
All those farmers cultivate boro in advance of those lands. As a result, they have the opportunity to raise boro rice in advance. Farmers of Atrai Upazila Abdur Rahim, Osman Ali and Farid Uddin, Manda Ujlal farmer Ramzan Ali, Rahim Uddin, Farmer Abdul Bachid of Raninagar Upazila told this representative that they could not harvest the Aman crop if their land was concerned. Their crops are frozen in flood water. The only crop they have is boro crop. After harvesting, they pick up food all year round and sell extra rice and spend it. The District Agriculture Department made a similar question with this information.
