They made this observation while addressing the opening session of a two-day training workshop titled “Vision 2021: Innovation in Civic Services” at Training Institute of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) in the city on Sunday. Thirty officers of the bank took part in the workshop. RAKUB and Cabinet Division jointly organized the meeting in association with Access to Information (A2I) Project of the Prime Minister’s Office. RAKUB Chairman Nazrul Islam, who addressed the session as chief guest, viewed that the bankers skill should be developed on developing innovative ideas so that they can provide excellent services to the customers in a hassle-free atmosphere.
He also said the present government has adopted multifarious programmes for reaching the e-services to the grassroots people and the bankers should be familiarized with the e-services and digitization process. He also said all the bankers should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty. Nazrul Islam, a retired secretary of the government, said the ongoing digitization process has created scope of employment and income generation in various ways including outsourcing, selling products through e-shop and offering different services.
