A farmer was stabbed to death at Krishnabati village under Monirampur upazila in Jessore early Saturday.
The dead was identified as Akbar Ali, 55, Daharsinga village under the same upazila. He used to live his in-laws residence for a long, said the police.
Mokarram Hossain, officer in-charge, Monirampur police staton told that the police took wife and only son of the dead to the police station for quizzing. ‘The reason of the killing could not be known immediately,’ he added.
The post mortem of the body was held at Jessore General Hospital. But no case was lodged.
