A farmer was beaten to death by his rival groups at Harenga village in Hossainpur upazila over land dispute on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Idris Ali (53), a farmer son of Md. Sabed Ali in Harenga village of Hossainpur upazila.
Hossainpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abul Hossain said that we received on information. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body.
Police also arrested Abdul Bari in this connection.
The dead body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autospy.
A case was filed in this connection with Hossainpur Police Station.
