UNB, Mymensingh :
A farmer was killed in a clash over irrigating a cropland at Nagua village in Tarakanda upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rokonuddin,65.
Tarakanda thana officer-in-charge Ali Ahmed said Najimuddin locked into an altercation with his neighbour Taher over irrigating a cropland in the morning.
As a sequel to the altercation, Tarher’s family members attacked Najimuddin and his family members, triggering a clash that left Najimuddin, his wife Jobeda and father Rokonuddin injured.
Rokonuddin succumbed to his injuries on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Najimuddin was shifted to a hospital in the capital as his condition deteriorated.
