A farmer named Babu has been hacked to death at Alamdanga in Chuadanga on Thursday morning.
His body was recovered from the village of Gorchapra in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Babu Hossain who is the son of late Shukur Ali.
Local villagers said, Babu (45) was missing from 7:30 pm on Wednesday. Police and local villagers searched for them on the night of the night. There was no trace of Babu till the dead of night. His body was found on Thursday morning.
Local villagers said , a group of people indiscriminately hacked Babu with sharp weapons in the house of Wazir Ali in the same village.
Alamdanga OC (Investigation) Lutful Kabir , the cause of the murder was not known.
