A farmer went missing while crossing the Teesta river in Ulipur upazila of Kurigram on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Badiazzaman of Nagar Para village in Ulipur upazila.
Ayub Ali, chairman of Thetrai union, said Badiazzaman went missing while crossing the river to reach the char areas Wednesday afternoon for cutting grass to feed his livestock.
On information, divers from the local fire service rushed to the spot and conducted a rescue operation, said Abbas Ali of Ulipur Fire Service and Civil Defense.
