A farmer was hacked and beaten to death at Bahadurpur village under Jessore sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
The dead was identified as Rabiul Islam, 55, a farmer of Bahadurpur village under the Kotwali police station.
Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told New Nation that Akhtaruzzaman and Sujon of the area beat up and hacked to death the farmer while he working at his residence at around 9:30am on Sunday. ‘He was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital with critical condition and died there at around 10am,’ he added.
‘He was killed over family feud,’ the OC added.
No case was lodged and none was arrested in this connection, the police official said.
