Local boy Faridur Reza moved to the boys’ singles final of the 10th BKSP Asian Under-14 Series Tennis competition beating his compatriot Jewel Rana by 6-4, 6-1 set in the semifinals held on Thursday at BKSP in Savar.
Reza will face Lim of Singapore in the final as the later confirmed his final slot in a hard fought battle with M Zahid of Bangladesh by 7-5,3-6 and 7-5 points in the second semifinal.
In the girls’ singles semifinals, Youngborau of Korea beat her compatriot 6-3, 7-5 to reach the final. The second girls’ singles semifinal was in progress when this report was filed .
