Popular actress Farhana Mili anchored many stage shows during school and college times. In the year when for the first time National Children Day was announced on the birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Mili hosted a programme at Ganabhaban in front of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Meanwhile, when she was studying in the department of Drama and Dramatics at Jahangirnagar University Mili started anchoring a TV show. But teacher of her department at the university late Selim Al Deen requested her not to continue anchoring. Natyacharya requested her to concentrate on acting rather than anchoring. For this reason, Mili did not seen to host any show later.
Farhana Mili has taken 2021 a challenging year. So, after getting offer to anchor a cooking related show from Deepto TV Mili did not refuse to host the show. From the first day of Ramzan, cooking related show Swader Ranna is being aired on Deepto TV. Farhana Mili will be seen to host Swader Ranna on Deepto TV at 4:30pm round the month of Ramzan. Mili informed that before lockdown shooting of 14 episodes of the programme has already been completed.
While sharing her feelings to host the show Farhana Mili said, “I have taken 2021 as the challenging year. Besides acting, I want to see myself in new way in those activities which I had interest earlier. In fact, I want to do these works seriously. Anchoring is part of that challenge. I got offer to host many show earlier. But I always avoided these because Selim Al Deen Sir requested me not to hosting show. He told me, ‘You do not anchoring, you do not do it. You should concentrate on acting rather than anchoring the show. For this reason, I was detached from anchoring. But I am enjoying anchoring the show Swader Ranna. There is no restriction to host the show. I am anchoring the show cordially. After telecasting, I have been getting a little bit response from the show. In future, I want to be regular in anchoring.”
Mili also said that she is acting in Asian TV’s ongoing serial Gobindopurer Golpo where she is playing the lead role.
