Monpura famed popular TV, film and theatre actress Farhana Mili has returned to country recently after staging theatre play in the USA. On June 21 and 28, Mili starrer and Buddhadeb Basu scripted drama titled Toposhi O Torongini, directed by Liaquat Ali Lucky, in USA and also received two awards there. It was a great achievement for both Loko Natyadal and Farhana Mili, said the actress.
After returns to country, without taking any break, Mili again started taking part in rehearsal for the drama with the theatre group at Shilpakala Academy in the capital. Today (Friday) Toposhi O Torongini is scheduled to be staged today at the main Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).
Yasmin Ali is in background music direction and also in costume design, while Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky is in planning for stage and lighting of the play.
This drama was selected for staging at AACT World Fest held at Florida in the USA and also received two awards in two categories. After returning to country, didn’t take part in shooting for any television drama, Mili is going to perform on the stage today, which is really likable and honour to the actress, according to Farhana Mili. While talking in this regard Mili shared her feelings by this way, “It was really a likeable matter for me to take part in a festival in the USA under the banner of this theatre group with the drama Toposhi O Torongini for the first time and also received awards. It was really a delightful and prideful matter for the theatre group. In fact, there is a satisfaction to perform with a group on the stage. I am performing with Loko Natyadal – it is many prides and admiration to me. I am always grateful to Lucky Uncle. And the theatre group also co-operates and inspires me – these are also likeable things to me. After coming from USA, for staging the drama again in country I have to take part in rehearsal for the drama without taking any break. Basically theatre is my main place for acting. After standing on the stage I fell something on my heart. I request all to watch my acted drama Toposhi O Torongini today.”
Farhana Mili starrer only movie was Monpura, directed by Gias Uddin Selim, where she played outstandingly well in role of Pori. For acting in this character she won the hearts of many film-lovers.
