State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Sunday urged the government officials to work for the welfare of the countrymen.
He made the call while addressing an inaugural ceremony of the 116th, 117th and 118th Law and Administration Courses for the government officials at the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy (BCSAA) in the capital.
The state minister said that the main responsibility of the government employees is to provide services to the country people realizing their problems.
He further said, “Our aim is to promote the public administration to the international standard. So, the government officials have to be made more efficient by taking more training.”
Claiming the present government is working to make the country a developed state by 2041 under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the state minister said that the government employees have to work more sincerely and with integrity to achieve the goal.
The BCSAA Rector Badrunnessa presided over the ceremony while Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry Sheikh Yusuf Harun and Course Director Khaled Rahim, among others, spoke on the occasion.
