Farhad Mazhar abduction not proved

The Detective Branch (DB) of Police yesterday submitted the final report in connection of writer, columnist and poet Farhad Mazhar, however the abduction was not proved.
DB Police Inspector Mahbubul Haque submitted the report to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Thursday. General Registration Officer of Police SI Nizam Uddin apprised newsmen of the submission of the final report yesterday.
He added that, the complaint of abduction made by Farhad’s wife Farida Akhter was not found true.
Farhad Mazhar was found in a Hanif Paribahan bus at Abhaynagar in Jessore heading towards Dhaka from Khulna around 11:30 pm on July 4, nearly 18 hours after he went mysteriously missing from his Adabor residence of Dhaka city.
Earlier, Farhad, the victim of the alleged abduction made deposition before a Dhaka court and later the court allowed him to go to his residence at his own will.
