The farewell reception to the outgoing Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chittagong Range Shafiqul Islam was held at Halishahar district police line complex on Friday with District Police Super Nure Alam Mina in the chair.
In the same function, newly- assigned DIG of Chittagong Range SM Moniruzzaman was also accorded a reception for joining in the range in place of Shafiqul Islam.
Among others, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Md.Ruhul Amin, Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University Dr Ifthekaruddin Chowdhury, outgoing DIG Md. Shafiqul Islam, newly assigned DIG SM Moniruzzaman, CMP Commissioner Md. Iqbal Bahar, Chittgong Deputy Commissioner Md. Shamsularefin, District Council Chairman MA Salam, President of South district AL Mosleuddin Ahmed, Zonal Commander of Coast Guard Capt M Shahidul Islam, Addl.DIG Md. Shakawat Hossain, Raozan upazila chairman Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury, District FF Commander Md. Besides, senior officials of Metro police , district police and Range police and the invited guests were present in the farewell and fresher’s reception, sources said.
