A farewell ceremony for the master’s students of Arabic Language and Literature department under the session of 2014-15 of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was held on Sunday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.
The ceremony was held at 11am at the university’s faculty building with chairman of the department Prof Dr M Mahbubur Rahman in the chair.
IU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman was present as the chief guest and university’s humanities and social science faculty dean Prof M Ruhul Amin was the special guest at the function.
The departmental teachers and students gave farewell to those students with crests who have completed their honour’s and master’s examinations from the department.
Later, a cultural function was also held.
