Farashganj Sporting Club made a flying start in the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League beating Bornak Samaj by 7-0 goals at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium here on Monday.
Sumon Ali scored three field goals in the 12th, 14th and 36th minute; Mobin scored two field goals in the 27th and 54th minutes while Taleb scored two more in the 34th and 47th minutes respectively for Farashganj.
Earlier, the day’s first match between Shisu Kishore Sangha and Mukta Bihanga ended in 2-2 draw at the same venue in the afternoon. Shohanul Islam and Shahbarat Saikat scored for the Shisu Kishore Sangha while Tuhin Hossain and Jamaluddin Shawon scored one each for the Mukta Bihanga.
Tuesday’s matches: Dhaka United Club vs Combined SC (1:30pm); Dhaka Railways vs Shantinagar Club (3:30pm).
