Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) representative in Bangladesh Mike Robson called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at the latter’s office. Prof Dr Imdadul Hoque, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, DU and Dr Nur Ahamed Khondaker, Assistant FAO Representative (Program) were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various bi-lateral issues particularly organization of joint symposium with the Faculty of Biological Sciences, DU and FAO on different important aspects of agriculture, nutrition and biological sciences. They focused on utilization of appropriate tools and techniques of agricultural technological innovation and adoption of those new technologies should be done in such a way that would be useful for the end beneficiaries of the country. DU VC thanked the FAO Representative for his visit and hoped that through further collaboration and cooperation both organizations can work together for the betterment of the common people.
