Family violence and bloodshed have multiplied in recent times, and an analysis of 22 murders in the last three months has shown just that. During this pandemic, domestic violence has increased a lot. A survey found that violence against women and children has increased by 31 percent since the start of Corona. According to a survey conducted by BRAC, 91% of women and girls who have been victims of family violence during this corona and 85% of abusive household members. Analysis of the incidents of the family violence shows that intolerance among the family members reached its peak during the epidemic and distrust, suspicion and deterioration of the relationship reached its peak. Human rights activists believe that domestic violence is not being stopped easily due to lack of justice or delay in justice. They also feel that there is a lack of proper implementation of the Family Protection Act. Violence at the family level is a manifestation of vengeance and conflicting attitudes among family members are at an all-time high. Experts say that the process of strengthening values in the family through the process of socialization is now weaker than before.
Family violence and bloodshed are posing a new threat to our society. Family dissatisfaction, intense resentment, and cultural aggression continue to plague such events.
There is law to control family violence and tragedy in the country but it is not entirely possible to control such tragedies through this law alone. It requires awareness and family discipline. Psychologists and sociologists have explored some of the reasons behind family violence and tragedy. They are: 1. lack of discipline among family members 2. Regular quarrels between husband and wife 3. If a family member becomes addicted to drugs and chaotic lifestyle 4. Unequal distribution of family property and money. 5. Excessive mobile addiction and excessive roaming in the internet world 6. Lack of religious and moral education in the family. 7. Suspicion, intrigue and mistrust. 8. If extreme anger and dissatisfaction develop among the family members. 9. Loneliness isolation and family separation.
Human life is becoming increasingly commercial and mechanical, especially the urban life. In this so-called artificial mechanical life, there is no real love, no real touch, no mutual respect and understanding. The love of money has blinded people today. The love between family and the interaction between family members seems to have broken down. If a family member is accustomed to a chaotic life, he needs counseling, but today there is hardly such counseling.
Most of the parents in the city spend most of their time in working place so that there is no real guardian to take care of their children at home and this creates a sense of separation among the children which leads to family breakdown. Sociologists and psychologists say that in recent times there has been a kind of breakdown in family ties, mainly due to greed and lack of practice of moral education among family members.
The expansion of drug, misuse of technology and excessive mechanical life are now pushing people to the wrong path, causing moral decay, and as a result of such moral decay, family members continue to cause violence within the family. Sociologists believe that if a family member goes astray, other members of the family try to get him or her on the right path, but nowadays that kind of practice is rare, because the family members are busy and everyone is busy with their own work and no one wants to give time to anyone. According to experts, in addition to family education, family members have different values from school, college and university, but long-term school-college closures have led to a decline in such values among them and at the same time leading to mental disorders.
Sociologists and psychologists believe that there is a need for law enforcement as well as some other effective measures to stop such family violence and tragedy. Conflict between husband and wife has a negative effect on the children so if there is a good relationship between the husband and wife in the family then an orderly environment exists among the children of that family.
Every parent loves their children and wishes them well, but when a parent gives their child too much indulgence, the child goes astray. However, domestic violence and craziness are emerging as a new threat in recent times and it must be stopped at all costs and in addition to strict enforcement of the law, all other possible steps must be taken very quickly.
