The family of a reputed businessman was threatened by some unknown miscreants at their house in Hillview Residential Area of Rahman Nagar under Panchlaish Police Station of the city.
Sanjib Barua, a businessman hailing from the village Middle Binajuri under Raozan Police Station is running his own business at home and abroad with much reputation.
It is alleged that some terrorizing miscreants came to his office and looked for him. Sanjib was not available in the office then. Failing to find him, the miscreants threatened to shut down the office which they continued later too.
The unknown goons came to Chowdhury Heights of Hillview Residential Area at 788 Rahman Nagar where the family of Sanjib lived at around 8pm on 22 December of 2018 and looked for him. As Sanjib was not available in his residence, the miscreants threatened his family members to death. They fled the spot immediately when Bubli Barua, the wife of Sanjib Barua, screamed for help. While leaving the place, the rowdies growled to come back again to do harm to the family.
After having faced such a panic-stricken situation the family members of Sanjib went into hiding as they feel helpless amid insecurity. Bubli feared that the goons might cause harm to her physically and ransack their house. Bubli Barua lodged a General Diary (GD) with Panchlaish Police Station in connection with the incident on 3 January, 2019 seeking adequate security measures from the authorities concerned.
