Court Correspondent :
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s adviser Mohammad Mosaddek Ali Falu has been sent to the jail in an arson case filed with Mirpur Police Station of the capital.
Magistrate Mahabubur Rahman of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed order on Monday afternoon, rejecting the bail petition of Mosaddek Ali Falu.
Earlier in the day, police produced Falu in the court on completion of a five-day remand in another arson attack case. His lawyer placed a petition, seeking bail.
On January 28, some miscreants set a bus on fire in the Mirpur area of the capital. Later on February 1, police filed a case with Mirpur Model Police Station against 43 people alleging that the BNP leader instigated the opposition activists to carry out the arson attack on the bus. Falu’s name was not included in the First Information Report (FIR) of the case, but police said that Falu should be placed on remand to unveil information about the fugitive accused.
