A press conference was held in Kulaura of Moulvibazar to protest the conspiratorial publication of false news against UP member. Khosruzzaman Khosru, a member of Ward No. 5 of Bukshimail Union read a written statement at a press conference organized by locals of that Union of Kulaura Upazila on Saturday.
In a written statement, he said, he is a UP member of Bukshimail Union of Ward No. 5. He has been working hard to improve the area with the recent floods.
Going recently, on August 19, 2022, some online portals including Daily Jugantar published a news titled ‘Effectiveness of two projects of Kulaura’. Which he have noticed. In this news it is claimed that he haad embezzled the money of Kabikha Project but this project is not in his area. This news is spread with completely false information. The published news is false, fabricated, baseless, fabricated and
purposeful In his speech, he said that the main reason for publishing such news is that there is a conflict with local resident Md. Amin Mia. He has been illegally cutting soil with a crane and selling it in the area for a long time.
After being elected as a member in the last UP election, I stopped his illegal activities and he took 5 lakh taka from me several times saying that he would cut the soil. Finally he took another Tk1 lakh.
The former convener of Bukshimail Union Awami League also spoke at the press conference. Muhibul Hossain Babul, member of the 2nd ward of the union Md. Sahed Ahmad and others. Local leaders were also present.
