UNB, Dhaka :BNP spokesman Asaduzzaman Ripon on Sunday alleged that ‘false’ cases are being filed against their party leaders and activists across the country in a bid to harass them.In a statement, he said, “We condemn the government’s move to harass BNP leaders and activists by filling false cases against them across the country.”The statement was issued protesting the arrest of Madaripur’s Kalkani upazila unit BNP president Fazlul Haq Bepari on Friday night. Ripon alleged that law enforcers raided the house of Kalkani upazila unit general secretary Mahbub Munhsi the same night as part of the continued drive to arrest leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies. He demanded the government immediately release Fazlul Haq Bepari and withdraw all the cases filed against him.
