Staff Reporter :
A sister of college student Enamul Haque has protested against filing of false case against her brother in the Jhenidah priest murder case.
In a press briefing on Sunday at an auditorium of Jhenaidah town, Shahnaz Akter said that police forced him to confess that he was involved with the murder of Ananda Gopal Ganguly, a Hindu priest. Police Super of the district told the reporters that Enamul confessed his involvement in the murder during his interrogation after his arrest at Gabtoly in Dhaka Metropolitan on June 20 at 2 am.
Shahnaz said, it is a manufactured story because police in white uniform arrested him from the Mohammadia Housing Society, Dhaka on June 16. It was published in the newspaper and telecast by the TV. I can firmly said that my brother was newer involved in the priest murder case.
The arrest had been made to take political revenge only. We, therefore, request the government to release him immediately so that he can lead his life honestly.
