The Faldo Series Asia Bangladesh (Golf) Championship’2016, an International Junior Golf Tournament, under the supervision of Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF) and sponsored by Army Golf Club, began here on Tuesday at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
BGF Secretary General Brigadier General Kazi Shamsul Islam and the Administrator of Faldo Series Asia-Europe Tournament Osman Rafidi Bin Ramlan jointly inaugurated the three-day tournament.
Through this tournament, Bangladesh Golf Federation will pick-up junior golfers for the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final to be held on March 1-4 next year at the Laguna Lang Co Golf Club of Vietnam.
A large number of junior golfers from eight golf clubs, Bangladesh Golf Academy and 88 golfers from Bangladesh Army are taking part in the tournament.
Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering and head of the Architectural Department of MIST and Chairman Tournament Committee of Army Golf Club Brigadier General KM Salzar Hossain will be the chief guest at the closing function of Thursday afternoon
