BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and its standing committee member Tariqul Islam returned home from Thailand on Wednesday after receiving medical treatment there.
Mirza Fakhrul along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum and Tariqul together with his wife Nargis Islam arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in the afternoon, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB.
Some BNP leaders, led by party’s joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokan, received the two leaders at the airport. On April 28, Fakhrul went to Bangkok for medical treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital there for various health complexities, including blockage in the nerve of his neck. On April 20, Tariqul went to Singapore for treatment for his kidney problem at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. From Singapore, he went to Bangkok early this week for receiving treatment for his heart problem.
