He said, the BNP leader, meanwhile, consulted two doctors at National University Hospital,
Singapore on Monday afternoon who suggested him some medical tests. The tests will be conducted on Tuesday.
Before leaving the country, Fakhrul sought blessings from all for his early recovery.
Talking to reporters at the airport, he said, “I’m very sick. I’ve a blockage in my internal carotid artery. It’s a very rare, complicated disease. That’s why I’m going to Singapore for treatment. I urge all to pray for me so that I can come around soon.”
Six months after his arrest, Fakhrul who has been facing a number of cases relating to political violence, was released jail on bail. On January 6, plainclothes police picked Fakhrul up as he came out of the Jatiya Press Club after nearly 25 hours of stay there following BNP’s announcement to observe January 5 as ‘Democracy Killing Day’, protesting the 10th parliamentary polls held on the day in 2014.
