Court Correspondent :
The High Court on Thursday granted bail to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a violence case filed with Paltan Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh passed the order.
The court again deferred until January 24, 2016 the charge framing in the case as others accused, including BNP leaders Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Amanullah Aman, could not appear before the court.
The court deferred the charge-framing hearing following a time petition.
With this, the charge framing in the case has
been deferred for the fourth time.
Sub-Inspector of Paltan Police Station Abu Taher Bhuiyan filed the case for vandalising vehicles and arson in Paltan area on December 9 in 2012. On July 28 last year, SI Abu Zafar pressed charges against them to a court.
